Appendicular Skeleton
Part of the skeleton related to the Upper and Lower Limb along with the Pectoral and Pelvic Girdles is called the Appendicular Skeleton. It is derived from the word Appendages ( a part attached to a another one larger than it ).

STRUCTURE
Appendicular Skeleton consists of following bones :
- Pectoral Girdle : 4 bones. 2 Clavicles, 2 Scapulae
- Arms and Forearms : 6 bones. 2 Humerus, Ulna and and Radius. One on each side.
- Wrists and Hand : 54 bones. 16 wrist bones, 10 Metacarpals, 10 Proximal Phalanges, 8 Intermediate Phalanges, 10 Terminal Phalanges on right and left side.
- Pelvic Girdle (Pelvis) : 2 bones. a hip bone on right and another on left side.
- Thighs and Legs : 8 bones. 2 Femur, 2 Tibia, 2 Fibula and 2 Patella.
- Feet and Toes : 52 bones. 14 Tarsals, 10 Metatarsals, 10 Proximal Phalanges, 8 Intermediate Phalanges and 10 Terminal Phalanges on right and left side.
FUNCTION
- Appendicular Skeleton helps in locomotion of the body via Lower Limbs.
- By the help of Upper Limbs we can perform complex movements and interactions with other objects.
