Egg Cytoplasm
Cytoplasm is a jelly like substance that is present in all the living animal cells. It is provided with basic nutrients required for the life of cell. It also contains waste material that are the product of cell metabolism. Cytoplasm of an egg cell is quite different from ordinary cells as it has a special function for the development of the fertilized egg. That is why it is denoted as egg yolk or ooplasm.
