Procerus is a small pyramid shaped thin muscle. It is present on face extending between nose and forehead.

ATTACHMENTS
- Origin: Procerus arises from fascia over nose between lateral surface of nasal bone and nasal cartilage. It runs upwards in middle of face.
- Insertion: Procerus gets inserted into the skin over lower part of the forehead between the eyebrows. Some of it also merges with Frontalis Muscle.
BLOOD SUPPLY
Procerus gets its blood supply from Supraorbital branch of Ophthalmic Artery.
NERVE SUPPLY
Procerus gets innervated by Facial Nerve (cranial nerve 7).
ACTION
- Procerus pulls eyebrows downwards. It helps flaring of nostrils and producing expression of anger.
- Procerus with help of other muscles produces transverse wrinkles above nose.
