Zygomatic bone has a small foramen in the center of its malar surface called the zygomaticofacial foramen. This foramen provides passage to the nerve and vessels of the same name.
Its temporal surface is concave and is directed backwards and medially. It has zygomaticotemporal foramen for the nerve of the same name.
Its orbital surface forms a part of the bony orbit. Zygomatico-orbital foramen is present on this surface which gives a passage to the Zygomatic nerve.
