Pubic bone
● Pubis is present on anterior aspect of the Pelvis in relation with other 2 bones (Ilium and Ischium). It is covered by fat and skin. ● Pubis is further divided into three parts. Body of the Pubis is the thick, main part present anteriorly. It branches posterolaterally into two Rami. Inferior Ramus is inferior projection from the Body of the Pubis. It is joined to the Ischium. Superior Ramus is the superior projection of the Pubis and joins with the Ilium and Ischium. ● Pubis forms least part of the Acetabulum laterally (one fifth). Acetabulum is a circular structure formed by the bones of the Pelvis laterally which accommodates the head of the Femur.
