Splenius Capitis has multiple origins and insertions as follows. Splenius Capitis receives its blood from muscular branches of the Occipital Artery. Splenius Capitis Muscle is innervated by the Dorsal Rami of the C3, C4, C5, and C6 spinal nerves. Splenius Capitis can extend the Head and Neck. It can also laterally flex or rotate the head to the same side.
